Millions of South Africans are living in extreme poverty. The spread of COVID-19 and the unintended consequences of the lockdown have caused further pressure on vulnerable households facing temporary or permanent employment disruptions.
Food insecurity is becoming more of a reality for many South African households from various backgrounds and societies, who are unable to afford even the most basic food items
PROJECT DETAILS
The heart of AMA’s work in South Africa – the EmpowerSA campaign provides for the basic needs of South Africans across the country. We partner with over 250 community based organisations to bring aid to those in need. The programme is implement through an incredible and dedicated volunteer programme that works with communities every week of the year.
