South Africa: AMA visits Cape Town orphanage and distributes essentials

This week, AMA visited the Leliebloem House Orphanage in South Africa’s Cape Town, and distributed much needed essentials to those in need.
Children residing at the orphanage mostly come from abusive backgrounds or families where the parents have been affected by drug addiction.
Some of those at the orphanage have also previously experienced homelessess, and so the Leliebloem House has become a safe haven for them.
Despite finding safety at the Leliebloem House, many of the children there are still in need of basic essentials in order to allow them to rebuild their lives and have a more comfortable life.
AMA’s team were able to supply over 60 of the children at the house with blankets, toiletry packs and clothing for each child. The team also handed out snack packs to all of the beneficiaries.
Many of the blankets and snack packs were donated by AMA a well as kind sponsors, including Jimmy’s Motor Spares.
The team was met with a warm welcome from the children who were excited to receive their packages, particularly at a time where many are facing economic hardships and high rates of unemployment, which are affecting much of the local population.
AMA is dedicated to supporting local communities around South Africa and has committed teams who are able to both respond to emergencies as well as support long term projects.
